Day 13- What do you admire most about Regina Spektor
There’s not really one thing that I admire more than the other about Regina. She’s just seems like the most genuine and down to earth person ever. Whether it’s stopping her show to give help to a spectator who fainted or just hang out with her fans after a show and signing some autographs and taking photos. Yes she has achieved “celebrity status” but doesn’t see herself as above the rest of us mere mortals. She has managed to achieve this stardom on pure merit. She had to work hard to get where she’s at, and hasn’t had to resort to outlandish attention whoring like some “artists” do… not going to mention any names ;) to gain recognition and popularity. You never hear of Regina in the tabloids. Her talent is what got her where she’s at, and boy does she have lots of it! Classically trained pianist, super creative and outstanding lyricist, and has the voice of a goddess. And her fans recognise it. I pretty sure no one goes to see Regina perform live for the visuals and special effects, because lets be honest there aren’t any(which is a good thing), from what I’ve seen any ways. They go there to see an incredibly talented person do what she does best, play/perform *insert appropriate term here* music. Fuck, I’m not sure I know where I’m going with this… Regina is just an all round awesome person whom I admire everything about. She’s my hero!
